Jamie C. Maddux, ACTAR, P.I.
VP of Accident Reconstruction
Jamie C. Maddux is the Vice President
of Accident Reconstruction with MRA Forensic Sciences and is a former Utah
State Trooper. Jamie is an ACTAR-accredited expert in Accident
Reconstruction and has had decades of first-hand experience
investigating traffic collisions.
After being hired by UHP in 1997, Jamie was promoted to Sergeant in
2003 and placed in charge of the Utah Highway Patrol's Accident
Reconstruction Program. Jamie is an expert in various methods of vehicle and scene
mapping and has completed specialized training in the investigation of Train
vs. Car collisions and the Forensic Inspection of Heavy Vehicles. This includes
specialized training in heavy vehicle EDR data retrieval and interpretation.
Jamie is certified as a Crash Data
Retrieval System Operator and is an FAA-Licensed Drone Operator with hundreds of hours of
flight experience.
Mr. Maddux has and continues to
provide expert testimony on Human Factors as they relate to motor vehicle
operations and has taught many classes and presented lectures in Accident Reconstruction to
police officers throughout the Western United States. Jamie has also been
invited as a guest speaker at SATAI (Southwestern Association of Technical Accident
Investigators) due to his expertise in Photogrammetry.
Away from the office, Jamie enjoys
cycling, hiking, off-roading in Southern Utah, and snorkeling. Any day on
a sandy beach
is a good day!
